Summary of the year 2024: YAAPA highlights
2024 was an eventful year for YAAPA, marked by a series of activities and initiatives aimed at promoting its mission and strengthening its ties to the community. Here is a summary of the highlights that marked this exceptional year.
1. Let’s feminize the aeronautics professions : Meeting of young girls from Collège Du Vaal
On the occasion of Women's Day, the association organized a meeting with young girls from College Du Vaal in order to raise awareness and present opportunities in this sector to young girls and show that each of them has a place in this sector. Then a webinar organized with professionals and business experts with the aim of motivating them.
2. Aviation for women : Meeting with the engineers of tomorrow A meeting with the girls' association of the Ecole Normale de Polytechnique de Yaoundé during which a guided tour was organized within the Douala International Airport and a conference to raise awareness of professions in the sector was organized.
3. Meeting of world civil aviation decision-makers visiting Gabon In partnership with Gabonese Civil Aviation (ANAC), we organized a meeting with global decision-makers from the aviation sector who presented their future vision for the aeronautics sector and the various programs launched to promote young people in the sector.
4. Orientation meeting with young people at Libermann College The association participated in the International Orientation Day organized by the Ministry of Secondary Education of Cameroon during which we were able to share and present careers and opportunities in the sector to the young people and parents of students present.
In summary, 2024 has been a dynamic year for YAAPA, marked by a series of inspiring events and significant successes. These strong moments not only strengthened the association's position as a key player in the aviation sector, but also helped to consolidate its links with its community and strengthen its positive impact on the African continent.
