The persistent climatic situation of the world, the education system, different cultures and businesses. These were the central focus of discussions that characterized the British week that took place at the United Kingdom Embassy residency in Yaounde, Capital city of Cameroon from November 17 to 21, 2025.<\/span><\/p>

The event had as aim encouraging connectivity, collaboration and subsequently celebrating the successes of alumni\u2019s and individuals whose have made it in one way or the other, with their connection with the UK playing an important part. Present at the event was the British High Commissioner to Cameroon Matt Woods who expressed gratitude for the presence of the many schools as well as their principals and called on them to strive for a more brighter future.<\/span><\/p>

Attended by a handful of students from Secondary and Higher Institution of learning, the day was an opportunity for various schools and organizations like Holy Cross International, St. Mary\u2019s International College, YAAPA, ELFA group and some language centers to showcase their various products and services to the appreciation of the congregation. The alumni\u2019s shared their successes as an inspiration for the youngsters who dream big.\u00a0 established as a result of the scholarships and contacts created with the UK.<\/span><\/p>

One of the Alumni\u2019s invited to empower youths during the UK Education day was Fadimatou Noutchemo,\u00a0 Founder of the Young African Aviation Professional Association \u2013 YAAPA, Winner of the 107th Commonwealth Point of Light Award 2019 awarded by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth I. A prize received in honour of her exceptional voluntary service creating opportunities for young people in aviation.<\/span><\/p>

Her allocution at the event was an inspiration to the many youths that were present. Her career path right up till her present status triggered a lot of questions from the audience. At the end of the official presentation, students from Kelden University, Holy Cross International and other invitees surrounded the brain behind YAAPA for more orientation and connections.<\/span><\/p>

From the smiles on their faces one could already attest their desire and wish to venture into the aeronautic world to begin exploring the various opportunities. As a guide, the Founder of YAAPA encouraged them to pursue their dream and assured them of the Association\u2019s availability to empower the next generation of aviation professionals. She equally used the opportunity to invite the youth for the upcoming Youth Aviation Week of Central African \u2013 YAWCA scheduled for February 1 to 10, 2026.<\/span><\/p>
